Eden has her first indoor competition lined up as she is selected to compete for the England athletics team at a competition in Austria.
Taking place on the 2nd of February, the event takes place at the Gugl Indoor arena at Linz and Eden will be competing at shot put. She then flies back the next day in time to compete in the forthcoming McCain City Challenge.
The McCain event is staged over two matches, with the first taking place on the 4th of February at the Sheffield EIS and another later in the year. As the event will take place indoors there is no discus so again, Eden will be just competing at shot put.
Now fully recovered Eden will be keen to see how well her knee performs after it was operated on in September. She said, “training has been going brilliantly and I have already exceeded my Personal Best: the competition in Austria will be quite high level so I am really looking forward to it”.
