Training is going well for Laura and she has been selected to compete for England in Bratislava at the end of January.
England Athletics have asked Laura to join the team competing in Bratislava on 29th January to take part in the triple jump. The event gives talented athletes, particularly those in the U23 age group, a fantastic experience of competing at a high level and further opportunity to attain qualifying distances for the GB Team in the run up to 2012. For Laura this would mean jumping 14.30m which is significantly more than she achieved last year. However, Laura tells us, “I am jumping very well at the moment and training has been going very well. I am entering the Loughborough Open this weekend, but only competing in the long jump and 60m sprint as I am concentrating on speed improvements in my training”.
After Bratislava, Laura will be heading for Sheffield and the McCain City Challenge.
