The 2009 Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge was a huge success, raising £340,000 for a wide range of charities up and down the country.
The local community of Coniston also benefited and Samworth Brothers made a number of donations including a significant boost to the Mountain Rescue Teams of Coniston and Duddon & Furness. (Pictured here with their vehicles)
With our love of sport and a desire to put something back into the community, Lindsey Pownall, Group Director, felt it was a great time to get behind young up-and-coming athletes from Cornwall and the East Midlands and support them with the outstanding funds raised. Benefitting from this pot of money are David Florence, Izzy Hamilton, Laura Samuel and Kerry Blewett, with shot put and discus thrower Eden Francis our athlete in reserve.
