Welcome to our blog! Follow news updates on the trials and tribulations of our Samworth Sporting Stars – talented young athletes from the East Midlands and Cornwall. All have the potential to win medals at home and abroad at such sporting milestones as the Commonwealth Games and London 2012.
They are: David Florence – Slalom Canoe, Izzy Hamilton – Windsurfing, Laura Samuel – Triple Jump and Eden Francis, Discus and Shot Put.
It takes tremendous determination and effort to compete internationally – we’ll be supporting their commitment with monies raised from the 2009 Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge. We’re hoping this much needed boost will help David, Izzy, Laura and Eden to succeed to be the best in the world.
