| Penrith Mountain Rescue Team are a hard working rescue team in desperate need of funds; they have been identified as being the most local Lake District charity that would benefit greatly from any financial support from the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge. | |||
| The team have embarked on a major fundraising campaign, with a target of £110,000, to be raised over the next two years. The funds will be used in an ongoing programme to replace essential equipment, as it reaches the end of its serviceable life; with major priorities being both 22 year old Land Rovers and an ancient defibrillator. | |||
