Charities
The whole purpose of the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge is to raise as much money as possible for good causes.
Each team will be racing for their own chosen charity and you can view the charities involved by looking on the team website pages or via the Supported Charities page.
The team that pledges the highest figure on completion of the Challenge will receive an award from Samworth Brothers at the celebration meal.
All teams must bring their sponsorship forms to the Challenge Base at the Glenridding cricket pavilion at the start of the race to allow Nicky Masters (Treasurer) to verify the monies pledged.
A donation will be made to the Penrith Mountain Rescue Team via the organisers for each team. This money forms part of the prepaid registration fee of £950. A cheque will be presented to the PMRT at the celebration meal.
Each team is required to bring one raffle prize to the event. The proceeds of the raffle which will be drawn on the Saturday night at the celebration meal will go to the Penrith Mountain Rescue Team.
Teams will be asked to buy raffle tickets on the night at a minimum of £5 per person. Please bring some cash with you. Everything else at the celebration meal is paid for, i.e. food and drink.
Teams should obtain sponsorship forms from their chosen charity. By using an official sponsorship form the charity is able to claim Gift Aid.
